How does creating a GeraJobs healthcare candidate profile work?
Creating a GeraJobs healthcare candidate profile takes about ten minutes and four steps: add your professional registration and role, add your experience and availability, set your right-to-work status, then save it and apply to real UK vacancies. It is free, you own the data, and you can update or delete it at any time. GeraJobs never charges candidates a fee.

Add your registration and profession
Record your regulator and registration number (GMC, NMC, HCPC, GPhC or GDC), or your international-application progress if you are still registering. Add your grade, specialty or field of practice. Professional registration is held by you with your regulator — GeraJobs does not register or credential clinicians.
- Have your registration certificate to hand for the number and expiry.
- If internationally trained, note your exam progress (e.g. PLAB/UKMLA, NMC CBT/OSCE, OSPAP, ORE).

Add your experience and availability
List the roles and settings you have worked, with dates. Add your earliest start date, notice period, and the UK regions and employer types (NHS trust, GP practice, care provider, independent sector) you would consider, plus preferred shift patterns.

Set your right-to-work status
State whether you already have the right to work in the UK or would need Health and Care Worker visa sponsorship. Add English-language evidence (IELTS or OET) if you qualified outside the UK. This lets you filter to roles that fit your situation.
- If you need sponsorship, focus on employers who are licensed sponsors.
- Keep your English-test scores noted — regulators and employers ask for them.

How long does it take?
About ten minutes if you have your registration details, CV and references to hand. You can save and finish later — nothing is locked.
Do I need to be UK-registered already?
No. You can create a profile while you are still registering — just record your exam or application progress. Registration is held by you with your regulator; for example, doctors must be GMC-registered and nurses must be NMC-registered before they practise.
Can I delete my profile?
