How to post a healthcare job

A compliant, JobPosting-eligible advert takes about five minutes. Here is exactly what to include so the right candidates find it — and so search engines can read it.

  1. 1

    Create a free employer account

No card is needed to start. Add your organisation name, sector, and a contact so applicants know who is hiring. Care providers that hold CQC registration can add their provider ID to the profile.

  2. 2

Write the advert with the required detail

Give a clear job title, an honest description of the duties, the location (or “remote”), the contract type, and the professional registration or DBS level required. These are the fields that make the listing eligible for JobPosting structured data.

  3. 3

Add a salary range (strongly recommended)

Roles with a stated salary or band attract more applicants and are better structured for search. For NHS roles you can quote the relevant Agenda for Change band; for private roles quote your own range.

  4. 4

    Publish free, or feature it

Publish on the Free plan (3/month), pay GBP 29 to feature a single role for 30 days, or take Unlimited at GBP 79/month if you hire continuously.

  5. 5

    Receive and manage applications

Applications arrive in your dashboard — filter candidates, track status, and message applicants directly. There are no middlemen and no per-applicant fee.

Common questions

What makes a healthcare advert eligible for Google for Jobs?
A clear job title, a genuine description, an identifiable hiring organisation, and a location (or a remote indicator). GeraJobs renders these as JobPosting structured data automatically; adding a salary and a closing date makes the listing stronger. Google decides which eligible listings it shows.
Do I have to include a salary?
It is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended. Roles with a stated salary or NHS Agenda for Change band attract more applicants and are better structured for search. Quote the band for NHS roles or your own range for private roles.
Can I state that registration or a DBS check is required?
Yes — you should. Put requirements such as “must be NMC-registered”, “GPhC registration required”, or “enhanced DBS check required” directly in the advert. GeraJobs does not verify these; you confirm them when you hire.
How much does posting cost?
The Free plan covers 3 posts a month. A one-off featured post is GBP 29 for 30 days, and Unlimited is GBP 79/month. Job seekers are never charged.
